Photochemical profiles of omega-cleavage of carbon-X (X = Br and Cl) bonds in m-bromo- and m-chloromethylbenzophenones (m-BMBP and m-CMBP) were investigated by laser photolysis techniques and DFT calculations. m-BMBP and m-CMBP were found to undergo omega-bond cleavage to yield the m-benzoylbenzyl radical (m-BBR) at 295 K, and the quantum yields were determined. No CIDEP signal was detected upon 308 nm laser photolysis of both the compounds. From these observations, it was inferred that the omega-bond of these m-halomethylbenzophenones (m-HMBP) cleaves in the lowest excited singlet state (S(1)(n,pi(*))) upon direct excitation. Upon triplet sensitization of acetone (Ac), the m-BBR formation was observed in transient absorption for an Ac-m-BMBP system, and an efficiency of the C-Br bond cleavage in the lowest triplet state (T(1)(n,pi(*))) of m-BMBP was determined. In contrast, formation of triplet m-CMBP was seen for an Ac-m-CMBP system. Absence of C-Cl bond cleavage in the triplet state of m-CMBP indicated the reactive state of m-CMBP for omega-cleavage is only the S(1)(n,pi(*)) state. Based on the efficiencies and DFT calculations for excited state energies, photoinduced omega-bond dissociation of m- and p-HMBPs was characterized. 相似文献

The stereocontrolled total synthesis of the originally proposed ( 1 ) and correct ( 2 ) structures of (+)‐neopeltolide, a novel marine macrolide natural product with highly potent antiproliferative activity against several cancer cell lines as well as potent antifungal activity, has been achieved by exploiting a newly developed Suzuki–Miyaura coupling/ring‐closing metathesis strategy. Alkylborate 44 , which was generated in situ from iodide 34 , was coupled with enol phosphate 8 by a Suzuki–Miyaura coupling. Ring‐closing metathesis of the derived diene 45 followed by stereoselective hydrogenation afforded tetrahydropyran 47 as a single stereoisomer in high overall yield from 34 . Our convergent strategy enabled us to construct the 14‐membered macrolactone core structure of 2 in a rapid and efficient manner. Total synthesis and biological evaluation of synthetic intermediates and designed synthetic analogues, performed to establish the structure–activity relationships of 2 , led to the discovery of a structurally simple yet potent cytotoxic analogue, 9‐demethylneopeltolide ( 54 ). 相似文献

Mix and calcinate : The tin–tungsten mixed oxide (Sn–W oxide) prepared by calcination of the Sn–W hydroxide at 800 °C acts as an effective and reusable solid catalyst for C? C bond‐forming reactions, such as the cyclization of citronellal, the Diels–Alder reaction, and the cyanosilylation of carbonyl compounds with trimethylsilyl cyanide (see scheme). The observed catalysis was truly heterogeneous, and the recovered catalyst could be reused without loss of its high catalytic performance.

A novel series of benzoic acid derivatives as VLA-4 antagonists were synthesized. Optimization, focusing on activity and lipophilicity needed for cell permeability, resulted in the identification of 15b and 15e with good activity (IC50 = 1.6 nM each) and moderate lipophilicity (Log D = 2.0, 1.8). X-ray absorption (XA) spectra have been computed based on water structures obtained from a recent fit to x-ray and neutron diffraction data using models ranging from symmetrical to asymmetrical local coordination of the water molecules [A. K. Soper, J. Phys.: Condens. Matter 17, S3273 (2005)]. It is found that both the obtained symmetric and asymmetric structural models of water give similar looking XA spectra, which do not match the experiment. The fitted models both contain unphysical structures that are allowed by the diffraction data, where, e.g., hydrogen-hydrogen interactions may occur. A modification to the asymmetric model, in which the non-hydrogen-bonded OH intramolecular distance is allowed to become shorter while the bonded OH distance becomes longer, improves the situation somewhat, but the overall agreement is still unsatisfactory. The electric field (E-field) distributions and infrared (IR) spectra are also calculated using two established theoretical approaches, which, however, show significant discrepancies in their predictions for the asymmetric structural models. Both approaches predict the Raman spectrum of the symmetric model fitted to the diffraction data to be significantly blueshifted compared to experiment. At the moment no water model exists that can equally well describe IR/Raman, x-ray absorption spectroscopy, and diffraction data. 相似文献

A technique of recovering the data pages from Fourier holograms recorded without the dc components is demonstrated theoretically and experimentally by use of a coaxial holographic storage system. A reconstructed image is obtained by adding a phase-modulated dc component of the signal beam on reading. The bit error rate of the reconstructed image is comparable with that for the hologram recorded with the dc component as well. Since high intensities of the dc components are not recorded in this technique, the dynamic range of the recording media can be saved, which potentially contributes to increasing the number of multiplexed holograms. 相似文献
